Sonu Sood recently addressed the arrest of Allu Arjun in connection with the tragic incident at the Pushpa 2: The Rule premiere. During a promotional event for his upcoming film Fateh, Sood shared his thoughts, saying, “I believe the issue has been resolved now, and as the saying goes, ‘all’s well that ends well.’” Sood, who has worked with Allu Arjun in the past, emphasized that the ups and downs of an actor’s life are part of the journey.
The incident occurred on December 4 at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, where a stampede led to the death of a fan, Revathi, and left her son, Sri Teja, critically injured. Fans had gathered in large numbers to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun, and the situation escalated when the actor waved at the crowd from the sunroof of his vehicle, causing a chaotic scene. Allu Arjun’s security team failed to effectively manage the crowd, despite warnings from the police.
Following his arrest, Allu Arjun was granted interim bail but had to spend a night in jail. After his release, the actor addressed the media, expressing his gratitude for the support from his fans and reiterating his remorse over the incident. He stated, “I am a law-abiding citizen and will cooperate fully. It was an unfortunate incident, and we are deeply sorry for what happened.”
The actor also assured that he had no responsibility for the tragic death, stating that the situation was beyond his control. In a show of solidarity, Allu Arjun donated ₹25 lakh to the family of the deceased woman. The case has sparked conversations around crowd management and the responsibility of celebrities during such events. While some believe celebrities should take more control over crowd safety, others place the blame on the security personnel.
