Sunita Ahuja, wife of Bollywood actor Govinda, recently revealed some candid insights about their long marriage and their unique living arrangements. In a heartfelt interview with Hindi Rush, Sunita shared that she and Govinda often live in separate houses due to his busy schedule, including late-night meetings and social gatherings. “We have two houses, with his bungalow across from our apartment. I have my temple and kids in the flat. He loves hosting people and engaging in long conversations,” she explained.
She also reflected on their early days together, noting that she had a tomboyish appearance, often sporting shorts and short hair, which led Govinda to jokingly refer to her as a boy. Sunita admitted that, despite initially being unimpressed with Govinda’s more traditional views, she was the one to initiate their relationship as he was “scared to touch women.”
Sunita humorously added that Govinda is not the romantic type, and even after 37 years of marriage, she told him, “In my next life, you should not be my husband.” She expressed her desire to go on vacations and enjoy simple pleasures like eating street food with him, something Govinda does not prioritize.
Regarding affair rumors that surrounded Govinda’s career, Sunita shared that she was unbothered in the past, as Govinda was always busy with work. However, now that he is over 60, she admitted feeling a bit more concerned, joking that now that he’s idle, “he might do something.”
Govinda, who recently recovered from an accidental shooting incident, celebrated his 61st birthday last month.
