teacher booked for allegedly beating 6-year-old student with metal scale in thane

Police in Thane, Maharashtra, have filed a case against a 32-year-old male dance teacher for allegedly assaulting a six-year-old girl student with a metal scale at a private school. The incident occurred on January 15 at a school in the Kapurbawdi area, where the teacher had been hired to train students for the upcoming annual function events.

According to police, the teacher questioned the girl about her absence the previous day during dance practice and then reportedly struck her with a steel scale. The child was injured in the attack. The victim’s mother later filed a complaint, prompting the police to register a First Information Report (FIR) against the teacher under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act.

Kapurbawdi police inspector Vaishali Gorde confirmed that an investigation into the matter is ongoing. The teacher has been booked, and further legal proceedings are expected.
