As reported by ANI, the kidnapping took place on Friday night, triggering a three-hour police chase. Eventually, the children and the car were recovered, but the kidnapper remains at large. The abduction occurred around 11:40 pm when the couple left their two children, aged 2 and 11, in a running vehicle with the AC on, parked outside Heera Sweets on Laxmi Nagar Vikas Marg.

While the parents were inside purchasing sweets, a suspect seized the opportunity to drive away with the car. Upon returning, the distraught parents found both the vehicle and their children missing. They immediately reported the incident to the police, who registered a complaint.

In response, the police mobilized multiple teams to track down the stolen vehicle. SHO Shakarpur and the victim’s mother, along with SHO Laxmi Nagar and the victim’s father, participated in the initial pursuit. The kidnapper demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh from the parents, adding urgency to the chase.

The pursuit spanned roughly 150 to 200 kilometers, ultimately pressuring the kidnapper to abandon the vehicle. The children were found safe inside the car, which was left deserted in the Samapur Badli area. Around 20 police vehicles were involved in the operation.

Officials are now reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify and apprehend the suspect, assuring that “the suspect will be arrested soon.”
