THRISSUR: A horrifying road accident unfolded in Kerala’s Thrissur on Saturday when a private bus rammed into people waiting at a bus stop, leaving three women injured, one of them critically.
The shocking incident was captured on CCTV, which shows the women standing at the stop around noon, shielding themselves from the rain with umbrellas. Without warning, the bus hurtles towards them at high speed, veers off its path, and slams directly into the group as they try to escape.
A police officer nearby is seen reacting in shock, placing his hand on his head, as panicked screams erupt in the background. The footage shows the bus driver fleeing the scene, while some bystanders attempt to chase him.
Authorities have confirmed that the injured victims have been admitted to a hospital, with one woman in critical condition. An official stated that efforts are underway to trace and arrest the absconding driver.
