In a road accident on Sunday morning, a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus veered off course and toppled into a roadside pit near Rajan Nagar in Bhavanisagar, Erode district, leaving 15 people injured.
The mishap occurred around 10:15 a.m. when the driver, identified as 34-year-old Prakash from Sathyamangalam, reportedly experienced sudden dizziness and lost control of the bus. The vehicle, which was heading to Sathyamangalam from Kothamangalam via Bannari, had 14 passengers on board.
According to the Bhavanisagar police, the bus tipped onto its side before sliding into the pit. Emergency responders arrived promptly and moved all the injured to the government hospital in Sathyamangalam.
Fortunately, all passengers sustained only minor injuries and have since been discharged. However, the driver remains under medical observation. A case has been filed, and an investigation is ongoing to determine further details.
