In a devastating incident on Saturday, three people lost their lives, and three others sustained injuries when a car veered off the road and plunged into a 100-meter gorge near Raigi Temple in Tyuni. The vehicle was traveling from Chhumra to Tyuni when the accident occurred. Local police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash.
Authorities and locals quickly initiated a rescue operation, successfully extracting the six individuals from the vehicle and transporting them to the nearest hospital. Sadly, doctors pronounced Sauransh (3), his mother Anita (30), both hailing from Meghatu village, and 78-year-old Surat Ram Joshi from Mundol village dead upon arrival.
The three injured—Itika (25), Manish Nautiyal (25), and Jayendra (38)—received initial treatment before being referred to a secondary medical center for further care. According to a police officer, preliminary assessments suggest the accident may have occurred due to the driver losing control of the vehicle. A thorough investigation is underway to uncover more details surrounding this tragic event.
