In a shocking incident in Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh, two women were nearly buried alive when a truck unloaded gravel on them from a dumper. Mamata Pandey and Asha Pandey, identified as the victims, were buried up to their neck and waist before being rescued by locals.

The incident occurred near the Mangawa police station area during a road construction project, sparking protests from local women who claimed the land was leased. Despite their objections, the situation escalated when gravel was dumped on Mamata and Asha Pandey, reportedly on orders from certain locals. One of the women fell unconscious and required immediate medical attention following the rescue.

Legal Actions

Both victims have filed complaints with the police, alleging assault while attempting to halt the gravel dumping on the leased land. The FIR names individuals including Mahendra Prasad Pandey and Gaukaran Prasad Pandey, accusing them of orchestrating the attack.

The incident, captured on video and widely circulated, has drawn widespread condemnation and calls for action from various quarters.
