Lucknow: A 24-year-old man from a Dalit community in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly passed away in the hospital after allegedly being brutally beaten by four individuals with iron rods. The incident occurred on July 11 in Piparthara village, Faridpur police station area. Sachin, the victim, had declined their demand for a feast and liquor to celebrate the birth of his son, citing financial difficulties.

Severely injured, Sachin was taken to a Bareilly hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Following a complaint filed by Sachin’s mother, the police have registered a case against the four individuals named Vishal, Akku, Akash, and Kallu, all from the same village. The relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act have been invoked in the case.

Three of the accused have been arrested, and efforts are underway to apprehend Vishal. The police reported that Vishal and his accomplices forcibly entered Sachin’s house with iron rods, demanding a feast and liquor. When Sachin refused, they subjected him to a brutal assault outside his house.
