New Delhi: Tumakur MP, senior BJP leader from Karnataka V Somanna has expressed his eagerness to serve in any portfolio entrusted to him as he prepares to join Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet.

He conveyed his enthusiasm during a tea gathering at the Prime Minister’s residence in New Delhi on Sunday. His anticipation comes amidst a buzz of speculation surrounding his forthcoming ministerial role.

“I am delighted to have the opportunity to serve under the leadership of PM Modi. I am committed to meeting his expectations, and I believe this appointment is a recognition of my dedication and hard work,” Somanna stated.

With a political career marked by ministerial stints in various Karnataka administrations, Somanna brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He won against Congress candidate Muddahanumegowda in Tumkur Lok Sabha segment by a margin of 1,75,594 votes.

He said,”My foremost challenge is to facilitate the equitable dissemination of governmental provisions, ensuring they reach every corner of our nation.”

In a notable coalition move, former Chief Minister and JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy will also join the Union Cabinet, reinforcing the collaborative spirit among alliance partners.
