A recent video circulating on social media has raised concerns about sanitation in a government hospital ward in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The footage depicts rats freely roaming around, prompting calls for immediate pest control measures at the Kamla Raja Hospital.

The opposition Congress in Madhya Pradesh shared the video, highlighting the apparent prevalence of rats over patients in the hospital. They criticized the government’s management of healthcare facilities in the state.

The authenticity of the video has been confirmed by the medical college dean, RKS Dhakad. He acknowledged the issue and instructed the hospital superintendent to take swift action to address the rat infestation problem.

While pest control measures are already in place, Dhakad emphasized the need for more effective strategies to prevent such incidents from recurring. He emphasized that hospitals should maintain a hygienic environment, especially considering the presence of patients.

The Congress, in their social media post, expressed dismay over the state of healthcare in Madhya Pradesh, urging authorities to prioritize patient safety. They called for stringent measures to safeguard patients and newborns from potential health risks posed by rodents.
