On Sunday afternoon, R L Lal Krishna, a 28-year-old welding worker from Aryanad, Thiruvananthapuram, was tragically electrocuted while working on a construction site. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. at She Lodge, an under-construction building located behind the Kazhakkoottam municipal zonal office.
Lal Krishna, the son of Raghunathan Nair and Lekha, was engaged in fabrication work on the building’s third floor when he received an electric shock from a drilling machine. Despite being quickly rushed to a nearby private hospital by his co-workers, Lal Krishna could not be saved. His body has been taken to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital mortuary.
The construction site accident has deeply affected Lal Krishna’s family. He is survived by his parents and his brother, Harikrishna. The incident highlights the critical need for stringent safety measures on construction sites to prevent such tragic accidents.
