In an emotionally charged cross-border love affair, Javriya Khanum, a Pakistani woman, is poised to embark on a journey to India through the Attari-Wagah border, marking the union with her Indian fiancé, Samir Khan. The Indian government has extended a 45-day visa for Javriya’s visit, allowing her to join her fiancé in Kolkata for their imminent wedding.
Accompanied by her father, Azmat Ismail Khan, the couple, already engaged, anticipates a heartfelt reunion at the Attari border in Amritsar. The warm welcome will be orchestrated by Samir Khan and his father, Ahmed Kamal Khan Yousafzai.
The journey initially encountered visa-related hurdles, which were overcome with the assistance of Maqbool Ahmed Qadian, a social worker from Qadian village in Punjab. Their 45-day visa will commence upon Javriya’s arrival in Amritsar, from where she will proceed to the airport for a flight to Kolkata. The couple plans to celebrate their union in a few days, and post-marriage, they aim to appeal to the Indian government for an extension of Javriya’s visa. This cross-border love story is a testament to the enduring power of love that transcends geographical boundaries.
