A male wild elephant made an unexpected visit to a residential area in Therkkupalayam, Coimbatore district, on Saturday night. A group of guest workers residing in a rental house were preparing food when they noticed the elephant’s movements nearby. Reacting quickly, they turned off the gas stove, but the elephant used its trunk to snatch a bag of ration rice from the house.
After consuming the rice, the elephant calmly left the area. The guest workers managed to capture the entire incident on their mobile phones, and the video quickly went viral on social media the following morning, garnering widespread attention.
