A woman, reportedly intoxicated, fell from the first floor of a building in the Kirti Nagar area of west Delhi, landing headfirst on the road. Police officers were initially confused by the scene, as they found her lying about 50 meters from the building, with a trail of blood and broken bangles leading to the spot.
The incident occurred around 1:15 AM on November 8, when the police received a call about a woman lying on the street, bleeding from a head injury. Upon arriving, officers took the injured woman to a hospital. Despite extensive inquiries in the neighborhood, no one recognized her, prompting a search of the area to trace her origin.
Police later discovered a second location some distance away, where more blood and broken bangles were found. Reviewing nearby surveillance footage, investigators determined that the woman had fallen from an open balcony of a tent house, located on the first floor. After the fall, she managed to get up and walk a short distance before collapsing unconscious.
Though her vital signs are stable, the woman remains in critical condition. Authorities have not yet been able to confirm her identity, as she has not yet been deemed fit to make a statement. Her identity will only be revealed once she is able to provide information.
