A woman’s routine grocery purchase turned into a “shell-shocking” surprise after she discovered a live snail nestled among her pre-packed salad greens, sparking laughter and lively debate on social media.
Kirsty Weaver shared the incident in a humorous open letter addressed to Woolworths, recounting how she noticed the unexpected guest while preparing a salad to accompany a braai. Instead of just watercress, rocket and baby spinach, the bag appeared to include a complimentary — and very much alive — snail.
