Yadrami town in Kalaburagi district observed a complete bandh on Tuesday after an alleged incident involving a Class 5 student and the headmaster of a private school. The accused, identified as Khajasab, was arrested on the same day and remanded to judicial custody for 15 days. The student is stable and receiving treatment at Kalaburagi District Government Hospital.

Protesters called for the cancellation of the school’s license and compensation for the student. Jewargi MLA Dr. Ajay Singh announced ₹2.5 lakh in financial aid and assured efforts to secure additional support from the state government. Deputy Director of School Education Suryakant Madani confirmed that the school’s permit would be revoked, and its students relocated to a government school.

Local officials, including Yadrami tahsildar Shashikala Padagatti, assured strict action against the accused, and various organizations emphasized the need for continued efforts to ensure justice.
