On Tuesday, July 10, members of the Post Graduate Student’s Association of Gulbarga University staged a demonstration at the campus, specifically targeting alleged irregularities during BEd exams. According to a report by The New Indian Express, the protest unfolded in front of the Karyasoudha (Administrative Office).

The association, led by President Shivasharana Patil, Vice-President Anaveergouda Biradar, and General Secretary Manthan Khele, demanded immediate action against several officials implicated in the controversy. They singled out Registrar (Evaluation) Medhavini S Katti, Principal of Al-Badar College Mallamma Manthale, Senior Supervisor of Examination at Al-Badar College (External) Mounesh Akki, and others for their alleged involvement in permitting 100 students to appear for BEd exams at Al-Badar College under dubious circumstances.

In a memorandum submitted to the Vice-Chancellor of Gulbarga University, the association accused Registrar Medhavini S Katti of orchestrating the illegal arrangement and asserted that the college authorities facilitated the exams against university regulations.

The students urged both the university administration and the government to initiate disciplinary actions against the implicated officials. They emphasized the need for transparent and fair conduct of examinations to uphold the integrity of academic processes at Gulbarga University.

The incident has sparked concern among students regarding the sanctity of academic procedures and has prompted calls for stringent measures to prevent such irregularities in the future.
