Muscat: CA N Ramananda Prabhu, a distinguished Kannadiga from Byndoor, was felicitated by H.E. Abdul Salaam Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority, during the ACFE Oman Chapter’s Annual International Anti-Fraud Forum 2024 at the Sheraton Hotel in Muscat.
The Anti-Fraud Forum
The forum, inaugurated by H.E. Abdul Salaam Al Murshidi, brought together over 300 leaders and experts in fraud detection and prevention to address the evolving challenges of AI-powered financial fraud. Esteemed speakers and delegates discussed topics such as cybersecurity, ESG fraud, and global financial resilience in a rapidly digitising world.
Keynote speaker Padmashree CA T N Manoharan, past president of ICAI, emphasised the importance of innovation and vigilance in combating financial fraud.
Honouring CA Ramananda Prabhu
Hailing from Naikanakatte in Byndoor, CA Ramananda Prabhu was recognised for his significant contributions to the anti-fraud domain and his voluntary services in Oman and India. He expressed gratitude to His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq Al Said, the people of Oman, and his alma mater for shaping his career.
In his acceptance speech, CA Prabhu highlighted the importance of perseverance and hard work, inspiring the youth to pursue excellence and give back to society.

Born into a farmer’s family in Byndoor, CA Prabhu studied in government institutions and pursued Chartered Accountancy in Bangalore. He has worked across India and the Gulf, currently practising in Oman. Prabhu serves on various boards, including the Oman Anti-Fraud Association and Oman India Investment Forum, advising Indian businesses on global expansion.
