In a fair at Hassan, my mother witnessed a dance performance by actress Hema Malini and thus nursed a dream to become a dancer. But hailing from an Orthodox family my mom became unsuccesful in make her dream come true. But she sowed her dream in me, her daughter.

She added, when studies and anchoring became priorities, dance took a back seat. And from there, post marriage it was my mother-in-law who brought me back into the track.
