Have no regrets as life’s happening is destined: Sannu Monis

Dubai: The 23rd episode of’s talk show ‘Sunday Celebrity’ was held on Sunday June 5 at 8.00 pm IST.

The guest for the evening was Sannu Monis, Poet and Editor, Floyd Kiran was the host for the event.

The programme was premiered on’s Facebook and YouTube channels.

In the beginning of the show Floyd Kiran introduced the guest and welcomed him.

Sannu Monis recalled his childhood and elaborated on “how it was impossible for him to stay without his mother.”

“Till class tenth I was a reserved student. Along with two of my friends we began with dramatics in Mumbai,” he shared. “I do not write for success. I write as a part of my hobby. As I write my name below my poem there is no chance to call it a service,” he claimed.

In the ‘ ‘Celebrity Favourites’ segment he shared, “My home is my favourite place. But St. Lawrence church at Karkala gives me peace.”

Speaking on his love for tea Sannu Monis said, “Even if someone wakes me up from sleep for tea, I can have a cup of tea and once again go back to sleep.”

“One of my friends enrolled me to C1 post my tenth. From then the introvert me witnessed a change,” he said on the turning point in life.

I have no regrets in life. Every happening in life is pre-written and has to be faced in lifetime. Either it has given me good or bad. There comes no way to regret,” he added.

“As I get angry I stop myself. That is controlling myself, I stop talking for a while. Words uttered out of anger might hurt the person in front and so I control myself.”

Showcasing ‘Gummat,’ a clay made instrument Sannu Monis shed light on the history of it and the season of playing it along showcasing the glimpse by playing it.

As an advice to the audience he said, “Be optimistic in life and move forward.”

As a conclusion, Sannu Monis narrated his poem to the audience. Kiran Nirkan expressing the words of gratitude signed off the session.
