Dubai: Pratibhotsava, and KCF Day organised by Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF), UAE will be held at Indian Academy School Hall here on Sunday February 20 from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm.
The launch of ‘Namma Kannada Kalike’, a programme to be held to teach Kannada all over Gulf will be made by Padma Shri awardee Harekala Hajabba. The competitions that will have 88 events to be held on four platforms will see participation of as many as 300 Kannadiga talent from seven emirates of UAE. At the event, KCF volunteers, students and over 200 families will participate in the Prathibotsava that will see competitions such as fooding, best out of waste, and quiz wherein women can participate freely.
Sayed Makhdum will be chairing as the President at the inaugural function. Sayed C. T. M. Umar Asfa Khan (Mankar Thangal) will inaugurate the event. Abdul Hameed Syedi (FC, KCF International Committee), Ibrahim Gadiyar (CEO, Anmol Piling & Steel Structures, Dubai), Ashraf Sha Mantoor, (MD, Khariyat Al Shams Contracting), Aslam Haji Chokli, Abdul Samad Nagoor (Al Mazoor Metal and Electropainting), and Usman Haji Napoklu (Gulf Ishara Coordinator, KCF International Committee) will be the Chief Guests.
Education Section Secretary of KCF UAE Shahul Hameed Sakhafi Madapura will welcome the guest and Inaugral Committee Convenor Lateef Thingalady will deliver the vote of thanks.
KCF UAE National President Abdul Jaleel Nizami, Yemmemadu will be chairing as President for the events in the evening. Sayed Twaha Al Baafaki Thangal (President, Jamia Saudi, UAE) will take responsibility of the event. The programme will be inaugurated by Mangaluru MLA U. T. Khader. Felicitation of Educationist, Akshara Santa Padma Shri Harekala Hajabba and Ahmad Mushtaque Abdul Khader who got PhD in Arabic Literature from Sharjah University in 2022 will be held.

Mumtaz Krishnapura (Vice-president Karnataka Muslim Jamaat), Abu Swali Haji ( Nafeen Group Dubai), Ronald Martis (Blue Royal Group) Mohammed Ali Jarvaan (MD Sultan Bullion Gold), Mohammed Shaanid (Juma Mahiri Group), Ashraf Sha Mantoor (Khariyat Al Shams) Saleem Sufi Khan (Jewel House), Dr. Yusuf (President BCF Dubai), Abdulla Madumoole (Zaeed Foundation Abu dhabi), Ibrahim Gadiyar, Abdul Naseer Taayal, Mohammed Haji Kukkuvalli, Rafeeq P. K., Razik Ullala, Mohammed Ali Uchila, Dr. Kaup Mohammed, Hidayat Adoor and many more will participate.
Karnataka Cultural Federation established on February 13, 2013 at Dubai. It has over 15,000 Kannadiga members from UAE, Malaysia, and London among others. The committee has been recognised for its social, educational, and community services. It has been involved in Ashraya programme for shelterless, schemes for welfare of poor, educational assistance for poor students, running of free educational institutions for poor in North Karnataka and such other services. Gulf Ishara, a Kannada monthly magazine has been published for the first time ever after gaining government’s permission. It is a respect to Kannada language, land and culture abroad. KCF celebrates Independence Day, Republic Day, Kannada Rajyotsava and other national festivals.
It has arranged more than eight chartered flights for people to travel to India during Covid pandemic, and also distributed kits to the needy. In collaboration with with Dubai Police visa, and passport facilities have been provided to people or tourists in trouble in faraway land without any discrimination based on caste, religion and region. Innocents, who were imprisoned due to silly reasons were released duly by giving needed support. The organisation also lent a helping hand to needy patients, and to family members whose relatives passed away in accidents.
The KCF has requested the NRIs of UAE to participate and make the event successful.
