Thinking about anger’s after-effects will help control the same: R Olivera

Dubai: The 13th episode of NewsKarnataka.com’s talk show ‘Sunday Celebrity’ was held on Sunday March 27 at 8.00 pm IST.

The guest for the evening was Ronald Olivera, Motivational Speaker, Career Coach and Founder, Zillion Pathways Coaching Institute.

Floyd Kiran was the host for the event.

The programme was live-streamed on NewsKarnataka.com’s Facebook and YouTube channels.

Kiran Nirkan welcomed the guest and Introduced him. Guest, Ronald Olivera reminisced his childhood and recalled 21 years of his life as a student.

Recalling his Journey towards public speaking he expressed, “The inter-college speech competition held during my fourth standard brought me a me first prize. Post competition I received lots of appreciation and It influenced me to become a orator.”

Ronald Olivera also recalled his passion towards Konkani write-ups and the pathway of establishing a like-minded organisation in Saudi Arabia for Konkanas.

Speaking on his brain child, ‘Zillion Pathways’ he spoke about the kind of courses being facilitated to students. The branches under block chain technology is the new course introduced, he added.

One of the colleges in Bengaluru denied me seat for having a Kannada medium background. But at one point in life, I was awarded first place in limericks speech competition. The happiest moment for me was, second and third place were bagged by native English speakers and I who was denied seat had received first place,” he recalled on best memory of his life.

In the ‘Celebrity Favourites’ session Ronald Olivera said, I was called “Inna” by my father. Rony and Oly are also other names I am called by, he said.

“Having my son post seven years of marriage is one among the best memories, he expressed. Losing my father, mother and elder sister was the saddest part of my life,” he said.

Speaking about turning point in his life he said, “Being a topper at school, post tenth standard I went to enroll in a college at Bengaluru with all enthusiasm. But at the last moment I was denied a seat and that day I promised to succeed. I have sent my PUC and Degree marks sheets to the Principal who denied me seat and post my master’s degree I personally met him and showed my success. That day, Sir gave me a hug and said, “My Chemistry Department Is open for you to work as a professor. Further until Sir’s last breath we were in touch,” he recalled.

When asked about regret of his life he said, “I always count my blessings. I listen to Hindi songs by Mukesh when I am sad,” he said.

Giving a piece of anger management tip to the audience he said, “we need to inculcate the habit of thinking about the after effect of our anger in those moments and it will help.

Ronald Olivera Congratulated NewsKarnataka for Its Initiative. Kiran Nirkan expressed gratitude and signed off the session.
