Bengaluru: 104 persons who recovered from Covid-19 developed Tuberculosis (TB). 51 of their contacts also developed TB.
The data supporting this issue has been revealed by the State Health Department which carried out a state- wide TB screening drive among the Covid-19 recovered patients.
According to the authorities, this drive was carried out between August 16 and 31. As the drive data was made available online now, it has been informed that only a few persons developed TB.
Officials informed that all these patients are now provided with medical care.
The drive was launched after reports that many Covid-19 recovered patients are developing TB due to the poor immunity and weak lungs.
