Jamkhandi : The Deputy Director of the Women and Child Development Department has issued a 24-hour show-cause notice to the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) and 22 supervisors following a report on the supply of poor-quality food items to Anganwadi centers.
The notice was prompted by a news report published on June 27th about the Janaspandana program held in Jamkhandi, which highlighted issues with substandard food supplies.
The department has demanded an explanation from these officials regarding the alleged supply of poor-quality food to Anganwadi centers in their respective zones. This action underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring the quality of nutrition provided to children through the Anganwadi system.
