Ballari/Bengaluru: Days after being transferred to Ballari Central Jail from Bengaluru, sandalwood actor Darshan, accused in the Renukaswamy murder case, has requested a ‘surgical commode chair’ due to his back pain. TP Shesha, Deputy Inspector General of Prisons (North Zone), confirmed the request and stated they are considering it. Shesha, who inspected the jail facilities, mentioned that Darshan is hesitant to eat properly due to difficulty using the Indian toilet in his cell.
Efforts are underway to install a state-of-the-art jammer at the jail. Darshan may also be allowed a television, similar to other inmates, if he requests it. The actor’s wife, Vijayalakshmi, recently visited him, bringing additional clothes and dry fruits.
Meanwhile, Darshan’s manager, Nagaraj, who is also implicated in the murder case as accused no. 11, has been transferred to Kalaburagi Central Prison. A recent viral photograph showed Nagaraj with Darshan and notorious rowdy sheeters at Bengaluru Central Prison.
Court Rejects Bail for Pavithra Gowda and Anu Kumar
A Bengaluru magistrate court has denied bail to Pavithra Gowda and Anu Kumar, co-accused in the Renukaswamy murder case. Pavithra argued for bail, citing her status as a mother, but the court noted that being a woman did not justify bail, especially given the gravity of the crime. Eyewitnesses identified her at the crime scene, and Renukaswamy’s blood was found on her clothes. Kumar’s plea was similarly rejected due to his involvement in the abduction and his presence at the crime scene.
