Bagalakote: The woman who threw a bundle of money at Former Chief Minister and Opposition leader Siddharamaiah issued a video statement on Saturday in which she apologised for her outburst.
Siddaramaiah, who was in his Assembly district of Badami in Bagalakote, was the focus of her ire when Razma demanded justice for those responsible for instigating communal unrest in Kerur.
He gave Razma Rs. 2 lakh as compensation for her loss in the dispute, but Razma claimed that she hadn’t thrown the money. “I wanted to approach you as your (Siddaramaiah’s) car started, but the money fell out of my hands. Please forgive me if I hurt you. I only wish for a world where everyone lives in harmony. Only the culprits need to face justice. We would want our leader, Siddaramaiah, to return,” Razma said.
