Bagalakote: ‘My goal to provide employment to graduates’

Bagalkote: Minister for Large and Medium Industries Murugesh Nirani said that he is making his own efforts for the overall development of Bagalakote District, especially in Bilagi Constituency. He further said “when I took charge of the industries at various levels, I made various efforts like simplification of laws, investment and so on to make the graduates of the whole State entrepreneurs.

Addressing a press conference on Saturday December 3, he said, “Our District should be developed on all fronts. My goal is to provide employment to graduates, ITI-educated youth,” he said.

“In 2010, at the World Investors’ Meet, the State received Rs. 3.08 Lakh Crore and in 2012, it received Rs. 6.72 Lakh Crore. Around 200 companies have invested a total of Rs. 9.81 lakh Crore at the World Investors’ Meet. The high-level committee headed by the Chief Minister Basvaraj Bommai discussed the issue and an agreement was signed with those companies, he said.

Until now, Bengaluru City was heavily invested, he said and added that 90 per cent of the investment has been made in tier-II cities.
