Bengaluru: Bureaucrats can afford best of services because of the position and power they have. However, many were taken by surprise when they saw Bagalkot DC R Ramachandran at the district hospital attached to Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences, on Sunday.
The DC had accompanied his father as his father had some health complications. The father-son duo were at the hospital like any other patient. The DC took his father to the OPD and waited for their turn. His father was suffering from ear, chest and throat pain. He met two surgeons of the hospital who gave a prescription to his father after a thorough inspection.
As the news spread the media rushed to the spot. Speaking to the reporters, Ramachandran informed that if he takes his father or any other family member to the hospital, it will boost the confidence among the general public.
“In the private hospital, there is a feedback system. If the same is followed in the government hospitals it will improve the public health system,” he said.
It may be recalled that Rohini Sindhuri had taken her kid to Hassan district hospital when she was the DC of Hassan.
