Bagalkot: A police constable of Amingad police station was suspended for assaulting an ex-serviceman as he tried to get into a bank at Bagalkot.
Devaraj Goudar was suspended by Additional SP Lakshmi Prasad following a complaint by ex-serviceman Nandappa Bhadrashetty. Bhadrashetty had a verbal duel with the police constable who was deployed on duty at Syndicate Bank for controlling the queue. Goudar singled out Bhadrashetty, pushed and kept slapping him.
The highly disturbing footage shows the cop beat and violently shovingh Bhadrashetty. He dragged Bhadrashetty outside the bank and kept assaulting him.
The constable was suspended after a video footage of the constable beating up Nandappa Bhadrashetty went viral on social media.
