Belagavi: It should be clearly stated in which particular case we have received 40 per cent of the money. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said there was no point in firing in the air like this.

He was reacting to Laxman Savadi’s statement that a 40 per cent commission inquiry would be carried out once the Congress comes to power.

Savadi could have said it when he was in the BJP, why was he silent? CM Basavaraj Bommai asked Laxman Savadi.

Hitting out at Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah, the Chief Minister said that the BJP’s image was tarnished by targeting the Chief Ministers of the State. But it is not possible. Siddaramaiah has been making efforts for the last one-and-a-half years, he said.

“Congress means corruption and corruption is Congress. Corruption is an integral part of the Congress party. There is no need for him to talk about corruption,” he said.
