Belagavi: One person died and several others were hospitalised after drinking contaminated water here said, Irrigation Minister Govind Karjol on Thursday October 27.
Speaking to mediapersons, Karjol said that the State Government has announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 10 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased. Shivappa was one among many who drank contaminated water and hospitalised but died, he added.
It can be recalled here that on Wednesday October 26 in Mudenuru Village of Ramadurga Taluk in the District some people were hospitalised after drinking contaminated water.
