Belagavi: Notorious gangster Jayesh Pujari, who had previously threatened Union Minister Nitin Gadkari from Hindalaga Jail, allegedly raised slogans hailing Pakistan when he was brought to court in connection with pending cases on Wednesday.

As soon as he raised the slogans, locals and advocates present at the court roughed him up. The police, who were present at the scene, secured him and took him to the APMC police station, according to sources.
Gangster Pujari, a native of Dakshina Kannada district, is currently lodged in Hindalaga Central Prison. Sources reported that the incident occurred when Pujari was brought to court for his pending cases.
