Valpoi: Sanket Lohar, 27, a resident of Belagavi, tragically died in a road accident at Chorla Ghat on Saturday. The incident occurred when the four-wheeler, in which Lohar was a passenger, veered off the road and crashed into a tree. According to police reports, Lohar and another individual were traveling to Goa from Belagavi when the driver lost control of the SUV. The severe impact of the collision left Lohar grievously injured.
He was immediately rushed to the community health centre at Sanquelim, where doctors declared him brought dead. Police have conducted the panchanama and an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
