Belagavi: Bharatesh Education Trust (BET), a longstanding institution with a history of over six decades, has announced the establishment of a new engineering college. Vinod Doddannavar, a governing council member of BET, revealed the details during a press conference held on Thursday.
Expansion of Educational Offerings
The new engineering college, set to commence operations in the upcoming academic year, will be situated at the Chandragiri Campus in Basavan Kudachi extension. The college aims to enhance its educational footprint by offering programs in various branches of engineering.
Accreditation and Affiliation
Principal Veena Karchi affirmed that the new college has received approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).
Program Offerings
With a total intake capacity of 360 seats, the college will offer courses in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Information Science, and Electronics and Communication.
Continuity of Excellence
The new college will operate from the same premises where BET has successfully run the Motichand Lengade Polytechnic for the past four decades. It also ensures the provision of separate hostel facilities for male and female students.
