Dharawad: Grandmother killed for desire of gold

Dharawad: The incident of gruesome murder of an old woman by slitting her throat for the desire of gold came to light at Aladakatti Village of Kalaghatagi Taluk.

The 82-year-old Thippavva Tambur of Nelliharavi Village of Kalaghatagi Taluk was brutally murdered in a sugarcane land belonging to Dyamanna of Aladakatti Village, and the killers escaped after robbing the old woman of gold.

Late night, a villager of Aladakatti Village saw the dead body of Thippavla lying in a pool of blood and sent information to the Kalaghatagi Police. As soon as they got the information about the incident, the police of Kalaghatagi Station visited the place and conducted an investigation. Apart from that, a dog swuad has been brought to the place and they have started to find the killers.

At present, a case of murder has been registered in the Kalaghatagi Police Station and they are trying to find the killers.
