Dharawad: Basanagouda Patil Yatnal is not the top leader of the party, neither a state and national leader nor is he in the Core Committee of the party. Therefore, there is no need to pay heed to his words,” said State BJP In-Charge Arun Singh.

Speaking to mediapersons on Sunday October 16, he said that he has answered to a notice that was issued earlier for speaking about party leaders. Despite warning this has been repeated many a times. He should understand that his words will have some impact on the party,” he said.

He said, There is no need to give much importance to the fact that MLAs Aravind Bellad and Basanagouda Yatnal opposed reservation for minorities. Neither of them is a party leader. The decision taken in the Core Committee of the party is final. It is dharma to give justice to the oppressed. That work has been done by the party. The BJP is a party that takes all sections and communities together, he stressed.

Former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar is in the Core Committee. He is the one who finalises the tickets. In such a situation, the question of whether he will get a ticket in the next election is not correct. The cold war between leaders in the district is common. There is no evidence that 40% commission scam in the Government. It is being discussed only in the media. If there are documents, let them complain to the Lokayukta. Making false allegations against honest and common man is an insult to the people of the State,” he said.
