Dharawad: The National Lok Adalat was organised under the guidance of Justice S. G. Pandit, Senior Judge, Dharawad Bench of the Karnataka High Court.
In the Adalat, Justice S. Vishwajith Shetty, V. Srishananda, Anil B. Katte, and Venkatesh Naika T. along with the members of the Lok Adalath, M. C. Hukkeri, Prashanth V. Mogli, V. G. Dalwai, B. A. Patil, and Raghavendra A. Purohit, were present. A total of 858 cases were identified for trial. Of these, a total of 375 cases were disposed of for a sum of Rs 8,78,05,569.
In the Adalat, Senior Judge S. J. Pandit and member M. C. Hukkeri, heard a 37-year-old Diwani case related to a land dispute filed by advocate Sanjay S. The dispute was settled through conciliation with Katageri, Sona Wakkunda and Ubaya parties.
“This is the pride of this year’s National Lok Adalath. This will greatly benefit both parties and make them dispute-free,” Venkatesh R. Hulagi, Secretary of the Dharawad bench of the High Court Legal Services Committee and the Presiding Officer (Judicial), said.
