Dharwad: MLA N.H. Konaraddi said that the government employees should not only serve the public better but also deliver the welfare schemes of the state government to the deserving and honestly.
He was speaking after receiving the felicitation given by the Dharwad district unit of the State Government Employees Association at the Dharwad Home Office.
Government schemes reach the deserving beneficiaries only when the state government employees perform their duties in a spirit of service. He said government employees’ cooperation should be sought to achieve development as per the wishes of the government.
The state government is committed to protecting the interest of government employees. He said that he would bring their demands to the notice of the Hon’ble Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister and make sincere efforts to fulfil them, he added.
Basavaraj Gurikar, working president of The Akhila Karnataka Teachers Federation, said that the state government employees have been demanding a long-standing demand for NPS, which must be cancelled. OPS should be implemented again. In this regard, all the MLAs of the district should support and cooperate with the government employees, he said.
