Dharwad: Congress candidate from H-D Central Constituency, Jagadish Shettar came and voted with his family at S. B. I English Medium School Polling Station No.122, Kusugal Road, Shabari Nagar.
Later speaking to the mediapersons, he said that the voting is taking place on a large scale everywhere. After I contested from Congress, I am getting better response from people than before, he said.
He said that if the enthusiasm of the people is observed, he is confident of winning with the highest margin of votes.
During the door-to-door campaign on May 9, people have also responded well. Voters do not even know the face of the BJP candidate. So my victory is certain, he added.
This is an election between Congress and BJP, not between Shettar and the Centre. BJP says party is important. However, the individual is equally important to the party, he said.
