Dharawad: Former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar has alleged that the BJP’s National and State leaders seem to have challenged to defeat him, but the voters of the constituency have taken it as a challenge to make him win.
Speaking to mediaperons here on Friday April 28, he said the Centre and the State Government’s and the entire BJP seem to be on their toes to defeat one Jagadish Shettar. The people of the constituency will not let me down,” he said.
All efforts are being made to defeat me because I have publicly stated that B.L. Santhosh was responsible for cornering Lingayats in the BJP and for lose of my ticket. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has come up with all kinds of pressure and management, he alleged.
“Many corporators mentally have supported me and Joshi tried to spy on them by pressurising them, threatening them, making phone calls and also threatening me. Those who talk about goondaism of another party, let them tell me what they are doing now,” he said.
