Gadag: As part of the silver jubilee celebrations of Dalita Sahitya Parishat and the 9th Akhila Bharata Dalita Sahitya Sammelana, the Akhila Bharata Ghazal Sahitya Sammelana will be held on Sunday October 30 at Byranahatti Doreswamy Virakta Matha, said Dalita Sahitya Parishat State President Dr. Arjuna Golasangi.
Addressing a press conference at Byranahatti Doreswamy Virakta Matha in the taluk, he said that the Parishat, which has 30 District units in the State, has published more than 60 valuable works so far. The Dalita Sahitya Parishad is moving forward in its 28th year, he said.
As part of Dalita Sahitya Parishat’s silver jubilee celebrations, the Akhila Bharata Ghazal Sahitya Sammelana will be held on Sunday October 30 in association with Kannada Sahitya and Samskruti Vedike at Doreswamy Matha premises, he said.
Hundreds of senior and young ghazal litterateurs, local litterateurs and politicians from 30 Districts of the State will participate in the one-day conference. As many as 25 ghazal litterateurs will be presented with ‘Belli Sambhrama’, Ghazal Kavya Puraskaram and Ghazal Kavya Mela.
Arrangements have been made for the procession of the President of the conference and the exhibition and sale of ghazal books. Allagiriraja of Kanakagiri, the famous ghazal poet of the State, has been selected as the President of the conference.
The conference will be inaugurated by Padma Shri awardee Abdul Khader Nadakatty of Annigeri. Dr. N. Chinnaswamy Sosale, Thinker of Kannada University, Hampi, will present the ‘Silver Jubilee Ghazal Kavya Puraskaram.’
