Haveri: Akhila Bharata Kannada Sahitya Sammelana President Dr. Doddarange Gowda batted for reorganisation of states based on language and culture . He felt that the present reorganisation has created a lot of problems
He was speaking at a session, Concerns of Border area Kannadigas at the the third day of the 86th literary meet on Sunday January 8. He said that as India is a land of culture and language, the states’ reorganisation should have been made on the basis of these. The current reorganisation has created a lot of unnecessary issues, he opined.
Further, Gowda added that Late Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who united India, had made state borders only on linguistic basis without much thought.
