Haveri: Tahasildar Girish Sadvi has been missing for four days, and the local police has started investigation into the matter.
In her police report, the officer’s wife Bhagyashri said that Sadvi called her around 9. 30 pm on Monday October 31 through a friend’s phone. The Tahasildar informed her that he will spend the night at Shiva Residency on Hanagal Road in Haveri as it is Rajyotsava celebrations on Tuesday November 1.
Bhagyashri has informed the police that his phone has been switched off since Tuesday.
When Sadvi’s family and driver asked the hotel staff on Tahasildar, they reportedly informed them that the officer had checked out of room at 5.00 am on Tuesday. According to sources, the staff also said that Sadvi did not let them know where he was going.
