A tragic maternal death was reported at the Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences District Hospital in Karnataka on Tuesday. The deceased, Anjali Ningani Patil, 32, from Nilji village in Belagavi taluk, had been admitted to the hospital on January 27 for childbirth. Though her delivery had been initially scheduled for January 22, the lack of labor pains led to her being brought in for a cesarean section.
Unfortunately, Anjali passed away later that night. Her family has raised concerns, alleging negligence in her treatment. Following the incident, her body was moved to the mortuary for a postmortem examination.
Authorities are investigating the matter to determine the cause of death and any possible lapses in care.
