Vijayapura: Two people died and nine others were injured in a collision between the cruiser they were riding in and the lorry hauling sugarcane here.
The deceased have been identified as Bhayoji Shinde (50) and his wife Sumitra (45). They were both Athani residents.
The tragedy happened as a family was travelling in a cruiser to a temple in Maharashtra.
According to sources, the injured are currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital here.
