Vijayapura: The District Court Judge on Friday February 3 sentenced a man to life imprisonment for murdering his wife.
Mallikarjun Pawar, a resident of Kasageri in the City, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his wife.
Mallikarjun’s wife Sonabai had allegedly killed his wife by hitting her on the head with a hammer in the wee hours of March 5, 2019, while she was sleeping at home, suspecting that she was having an affair.
Sonabai’s brother Santosh Rathod lodged a complaint with the Gandhi Chowk Police Station in this regard, following which a case was registered by CPI Kapiladeva Gadada and PSI Arif Mushapuri.
