Vijayapura: On account of City Municipal Corporation election Vijayapura City MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal accompanied by his family members, cast his vote at a polling booth here on Friday October 28.
MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal casts his vote at booth number 95 in Ward Number 11 of the City. Yatnal’s wife Shailaja Patil and sons Ramanagouda Patil and Adarsh Patil also cast their votes.
Speaking to mediapersons after the polling, Yatnal said that the elections to the Vijayapura Municipal Corporation are being held after a gap of three years. The voters of the metropolis participated in the voting with great enthusiasm, he said.
“The people of the City will vote for the BJP for Hindutva and development and this time the BJP will come to power with an absolute majority,” he said.
In some places, there have been complaints that voters’ names have been deleted from the voters’ list even though there is no request. The District Administration’s election department will take appropriate action in this regard and resolve the issue, he added.
