Vijayapura: Downplaying the Congress Party’s announcement to offer unemployment dole to youth if voted to power under its Guarantee Card scheme, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has wondered why the Congress has not implemented the same scheme in any of the State where it is presently ruling.
Addressing mediapersons before participating in the function to lay the foundation stone for development works in Muddebihal Taluk on Tuesday March 21, he said that the Congress is making such promises where it is not in power.
“Since the Congress is now fearing of losing the polls in Karnataka therefore it is making such promises only to deceive and hoodwink the people. But the people of State are wise as they understand the election tactics of the Congress,” he said.
On the announcement of Gokak MLA and Former Minister Ramesh Jarakiholi that he will not contest election if Mahesh Kumathalli is not given ticket to contest from Athani, that the party will find an amicable solution.
