105 children take ill after consuming contaminated food

Bengaluru: Even though the government is putting in efforts to maintain the food quality, the incidents of food poisoning are reportedly rising as days pass by in the state.

Around 105 children have fallen sick after having supper in the government boys’ hostel, here on Sunday, December 30.

The children were immediately rushed to the Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health for treatment.

The hospital sources have confirmed that the food that they consumed had contaminated, due to which they are now suffering from frequent vomiting and acute stomach ache.

As per Monday, December 31 morning medical reports, all the children are out of danger and further treatment is on as they are kept under observation in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit).

This incident has occurred in the Siddapura police station jurisdiction.
